The Power of Feng Shui

Feng Shui for Better Living

Now,You have a wonderful opportunity to learn about some of the most life-transforming tools the universe has at its disposal – you’ll learn about the workings of qi, the use of color and the amazing ability of sounds to help attract or ward off certain types of energy. To get the most out of this book, try working on one “problem area” of your life at a time. Oh, yes! The temptation, once you dig into this book, is to take the idea you’re currently reading about and implement it. You’ll start with this one idea, find another one and the next thing you know, all your family – or your pet cat – is seeing is you as a blur of color, madly running around the house, placing colors here, moving furniture there, adding plants or discarding some of that clutter from your closets. You’ll be tempted (and I know because when I began researching I wore myself out changing my house!) to change everything at once. But, one of the first things you need to learn is that feng shui is as much an art of “intention” as it is of “placement.” So here’s an approach you may want to try. Decide what area of your life in which you’d like to see results. Choose only one at a time . . . choose a goal very carefully . . . and choose a specific goal. In fact, the most effective way to exercise the power of feng shui is to write down your goal first – clearly and concisely. Is your relationship with your spouse not exactly what you would like it to be? Does your career seemed stuck in a large pool of quicksand? You’re frustrated with your employer, you’re constantly being by-passed for promotions – ones for which you’re clearly qualified? Intention works best when you focus on one item at a time.
